The ABLE National Resource Center (ABLE NRC) is a collaborative of over 30 national disability related non-profits to organize communication and cooperation between ABLE administrators, disability organizations, and financial institutions, and equip stakeholders with good information to make informed decisions about the ABLE Act and ABLE Accounts. The ABLE NRC launched a website (ablenrc.org) to serve as a single point of information to qualified individuals eligible to open accounts, their families, and other stakeholders.
The ABLE NRC provided leadership in the development of recommendations to the Department of Treasury regarding ABLE rules and regulations (resulting in extremely favorable proposed rules). The ABLE NRC also assisted in the passage of over 34 ABLE related state pieces of legislation (drafting of language, critiquing of filed bills, testifying on state level), and provides ongoing technical assistance to states as they develop and disseminate their ABLE programs. The ABLE NRC provides national webinars, informational videos, and conference presentations to improve the understanding and potential uptake of individuals with disabilities, their families and other supports.
