Funder: JPMorgan Chase
2021 represents the seventh year of an extraordinary set of activities developed in partnership between JPMC and NDI. Our collective work has changed thinking and behavior of policy makers, regulators, community nonprofit and financial institution leaders and people with disabilities and their families. We have defined, with cutting edge research, the financial challenges faced by people with disabilities who are disproportionately unbanked and underbanked. With our Financial Inclusion Summits, we have brought the discussion to communities nationwide to help design a roadmap for a better economic future and greater financial health and wellbeing.
JPMC’s contribution of financial support to the ABLE National Resource Center matches other leading financial institutions with a commitment to helping accelerate ABLE implementation and create new pathways to financial inclusion.
In 2021, NDI and JPMC launched the next stage in the evolution of financial inclusion of people with disabilities nationwide. NDI has been a pioneer in the efforts being made to modernize the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) that makes sure the disability community is no longer left behind. NDI’s Center for Disability-Inclusive Community Development works to improve the financial health and well-being of low- and moderate-income (LMI) individuals with disabilities and their families by increasing awareness and usage of the opportunities and resources available under the CRA.
