ADEN 5-Year Historical Data
In November 2014, the American Dream Employment Network (ADEN), a division of National Disability Institute (NDI), was approved as a national Administrative Employment Network (EN) through the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) Ticket to Work program. The first Member signed a contract with NDI in early 2015, opening the doors to serve Participants. Data five years later reveal a robust curve of growth, indicating a significant impact for the employment and financial status of disability beneficiaries across the country. Of particular note during this five-year period: 1) while the country experienced a national pandemic in 2020, the number of Participants increased and generated the greatest amount of payments; and 2) beginning in 2018, ADEN has shown a slight decline in Members. This may be attributed to a new requirement of having at least one certified Work Incentives Practitioner on staff. ADEN findings reveal that having an in-house Work Incentives practitioner on staff to provide benefits planning is key to facilitating successful employment outcomes.
