Together, we can contribute to a greener future while fostering a more inclusive society for individuals with disabilities.
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Statement
National Disability Institute (NDI), a disability nonprofit organization, acknowledges the importance of addressing climate change and its impact on both the planet and the communities we serve.
We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to a sustainable future. Our digital operations, distributed workforce and remote work model have enabled us to minimize paper usage and transportation, thereby reducing our environmental impact. NDI recognizes that climate change disproportionately affects vulnerable populations, including people with disabilities, and believe it is our responsibility to demonstrate the connection between our mission of financial stability and climate sustainability.
To achieve this, we focus on encouraging sustainable financial practices, promoting energy efficiency, building community resilience and adopting a paperless approach for conferences and events. By embracing these actions and collaborating with partners and stakeholders, we can contribute to a greener future while fostering a more inclusive society for people with disabilities.
We recognize that addressing climate change is a global challenge that requires collective action. As a primarily remote nonprofit organization, we are committed to doing our part in reducing our environmental impact and contributing to a sustainable future. We invite our community to join us in this effort and help create a better world for future generations.
Finally, we will continually evaluate and measure our environmental impact and take steps to reduce our carbon footprint in all areas of our operations.
