During the month of April, National Disability Institute (NDI) will join nonprofits, financial institutions, government agencies, businesses and individuals nationwide in recognizing and celebrating National Financial Capability Month.
Financial Capability Month, which is also referred to as Financial Literacy Month, is a time for all Americans to increase their knowledge of personal finances and to encourage others to do the same.
As the first national nonprofit committed exclusively to championing economic empowerment, financial education, asset development and financial stability for all persons with disabilities, NDI will engage in a month-long initiative to help individuals across the spectrum of disability begin building a better and more secure financial future for themselves and their families.
The theme of NDI’s 2018 Financial Capability Month campaign is “Get FinCap Fit.” In addition to sharing financial wellness resources on NDI’s website that can help you get your finances in shape, NDI will share “training” tips, blogs and social media posts containing financial advice from Olympic and Paralympic athletes, NDI staff members and partner organizations.
Please join in the conversation by engaging with NDI on Facebook: RealEconImpact or on Twitter: @RealEconImpact and by using the hashtag #GetFinCapFit.
