Update (3/21/23): Due to high demand, we are not currently accepting any more applications for financial health interviews. Thank you for your interest in participating.
National Disability Institute, Financial Health Network and The Harkin Institute are working together on a research project to better understand the financial health of Americans with disabilities.
We deeply value your opinions and would like to invite you to participate in an interview.
About the Interviews:
Interviews will be one hour or less and you can participate by phone call or video call. Accommodations will be provided upon request. You will receive $100 for your participation.
In the interview, you will be asked to talk about your financial health and if your disability affects your ability to make ends meet. We will also ask you about any challenges you face using banking and financial services and your ideas about how to improve support services to help you be more financially stable.
Information from interviews will be kept confidential and your personal identity will not be revealed in any public reports. However, the research team would also like to include the stories and experiences of some participants to help build understanding and support to improve financial services. You can volunteer to share your name and photo, along with your story, as part of the report. This is a separate request and you can still participate in the interview if you decide not to share your name and photo. If you agree to share your name and photo, you will be able to review your story before it is published. We will not publish anything you do not agree to. Your participation in both activities is completely voluntary. You must be 18 years or older to participate.
