Biography
Brittany Thome is a dedicated Manager of Financial Empowerment at the National Disability Institute, where she leads initiatives to promote financial inclusion and stability for all individuals with disabilities. With extensive experience in nonprofit program management and coordination, Brittany has been at the forefront of driving systems change, providing provider trainings, fostering coalition building across various sectors, including employment, education, training, workforce development, financial inclusion, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA). In this capacity, Brittany also provides comprehensive trainings aimed at empowering individuals and organizations to better serve the disability community. She has successfully led numerous federally, state, and privately funded national and state/local-level initiatives aimed at enhancing opportunities for people with disabilities. In addition to her program management role, Brittany oversees the administration of NDI’s virtual learning platform, Yes LMS, and collaborates with NDI’s training and technical assistance experts to develop and organize interactive courses that enhance learner engagement. Brittany holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and earned her Community Partner Work Incentive Counseling (CPWIC) Certification from Virginia Commonwealth University. She currently resides in Milwaukee, WI where she co-chairs the Bank On of Greater Milwaukee’s Advocacy Workgroup.
