Laurie Schaller is a Manager of Financial Empowerment at National Disability Institute (NDI). Laurie manages and coordinates activities and builds partnerships with federal, state and local community leaders with an emphasis on expanding the mission of NDI. Laurie manages the NDI Assistive Technology Loan Program in New Jersey and New York. In addition, she serves as a subject matter expert on housing services, the public workforce system, Social Security Disability benefits planning, financial education and coaching. Laurie is an ABLE National Resource Center subject matter expert. Laurie is certified as a Community Partner Work Incentives Counselor, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Community and Human Services from Empire State College. A talented musician, when not working or playing in quartets, Laurie also enjoys cross country skiing, sailing, gardening and hiking.
