Biography
Monika Krol is the Research Specialist at NDI. She is a Cultural Anthropologist and internationally published Researcher and Writer with over 20 years of experience as an administrative professional and project manager.
Prior to NDI, she worked as an Associate on the Disaster Response Team at GlobalGiving. While at the International Association for Volunteer Effort she served as researcher and co-author of a comprehensive global report on employee volunteering; Corporate Volunteering for a Post-Pandemic World.
She has also authored a series of articles capturing and telling the stories of nonprofit disaster relief efforts and humanitarian developments in Poland and Ukraine in in the context of the Russia-Ukrainian War.
Born in Poland, Monika holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from Ramapo College of New Jersey in the United States and a Master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from Utrecht University in the Netherlands.
Outside of work, Monika enjoys baking, photography, yoga and travel.
