National Disability Institute (NDI) and over a dozen national disability organizations have partnered together to learn about the current impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on the disability community.
On March 24 and March 25, more than 1,500 individuals participated in two listening sessions, hosted by National Disability Institute (NDI), to learn about the impact of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) crisis on the disability community. Attendees heard from people with disabilities; nonprofit service providers; and federal leaders from the Departments of Education, Health and Human Services and Labor.
Recordings of these sessions are posted below. You can read a Summary of Takeaways and view Polling Results from the sessions that provide insights on the impact of COVID-19 on the disability community. Following the Listening Sessions, over 600 individuals responded to an online survey that provided additional information about pressing concerns of the disability population during the pandemic. Read our report summarizing these survey results: COVID-19 Disability Community Survey Results.
