An estimated 20 million adults between the ages of 18 and 64 live with a disability in the United States. Adults with disabilities experience greater difficulty meeting monthly expenses, saving for the future and making ends meet. A team of researchers has broken new ground with quantifying the extra costs of living with a disability in the U.S.
This webinar will offer the opportunity to hear from the research team, two individuals with disabilities who will speak about their personal experience with the extra costs of living with a disability and from subject matter experts at National Disability Institute (NDI) who will share their policy recommendations for significant changes in law and regulations to recognize the adverse impact of extra costs on quality of life experience.
